The quality of your supplied product data has a huge impact on the quality of the rendered image results.
Follow the steps below to setup the rendering briefing for your products based on our requirements for 3D-based computer generated photo-realistic images.
We ask you to provide us with reference images from at minimum 4 different angels in order that we can evaluate all product details:
- front view
- left side view
- rights side view 2 sides
- backside view
Additional product details
Additionally we also need detail snap shots of product details that are key in terms of rendered visualization quality.
E.g. sofa production:
- detail image of legs and their characteristics
- detail image of seams or any technical gimmicks (features within the product, bed functions, etc.)
Correct camera perspective
Please watch out that you photograph your products from the front and not from the top.
Differences in material quality
We ask you to provide us with detailed reference images of product options.
For example. If the appearance of a sofa is different in dedicated material options like in leather or when a fabric is applied we would need to receive reference images of such details. Please make sure that the distinct difference can be recognized within the reference image.
E.g. if we might have difficulties to identify different seam types of a sofa type within a reference image we ask you to provide us with visual explanations (see example images attached).
Detailed product dimensions or 3D files
If you have 3D models of your products available please provide them in one of our preferred3D formats:
2D Product dimensions
If you cannot provide Roomle with 100% accurate 3D models of your products we ask you to provide us with detailed measurements of your products for setting up your 3D models.
Find a best practice below or provide us with 2-dimensional construction drawings (dwg).
High-quality material images (textures)
We need product textures for all product materials for HD Rendering purposes. Follow the rendering quality texture requirements based on our table below. More detailed texture requirements can be accessed in the Roomle texture format requirements-documentation.
We also offer texture digitalization and optimization data services.
Tip: Please contact our salesteam for more information.
Transferring product data to Roomle
Gather all 2D reference images, 2D product dimensions or 3D files, as well as textures images and setup a structured product data folder structure we can navigate through.
